ELK MEADOWS TRAIL RUN

Elk Meadows is located under Bergen Peak, near Evergreen Colorado. This trail run is a good work out with gentle rolling hills and switch backs mixed together that give an excellent workout. The trails have names that don't seem to fit, like Sleepy S or Painter Pause and Meadow view. These names need more challenging to fit their level of difficulty. Any suggestions? We have worked to make the course harder every year or is it we are just a little older every year. Although, Jim Romero managed to cut 2:00 minutes off his last years time. Even movie stars like "Foghorn Leghorn" managed to run faster by over 2:00 minutes. The fast male this year was Bob Jones with a time of 40:00 minutes. He was able to improve last year's record by 38 seconds. The fast female was Lynn Peesel with a time of 49:42.
