As early as 8:30 a.m. fifty-eight runners/walkers felt the summer heat of the Mountain Madness 12K at Genesee. Expert trail runner, David Rothenburger never gave up the lead placing overall male in a time of 50:50. Overall female was Kristin Moreau with a time of 56:56, also taking control of the race. Look for a possible 7:00 a.m. start for this race in 2006.

We appreciate our members for their support, however, a special thanks to out-of-town members who drive a few miles: Bob Caillouett from Milliken, Roger Rybicka from Fort Collins, Jim Peterson from Longmont, J Gutierrez & Laura McCoy from Greeley, Neil Horton from Franktown, Doug Tollin from Parker, The Bankos from Castle Rock and always a regular from Granby, Robert Kanieski.
