Another glorious fall day for the Stone House (2x) Triple Cross trail run. Over 60 racers showed up to test out the creek crossings on Saturday morning. However, due to a very dry summer, the creeks were very low, only feet got wet.

Bill Fanselow was our overall finisher with an impressive time of 53:34 for the 8.5 course. Aaron Velo, 53:58 followed for second overall and Andrew Terrill took third overall with a time of 55:48. Karen Voss was the first female finisher with a time of 1:06:13, Theresa Jockers was second, 1:09:49 and third place overall went to Letiaa Robledo, 1:10:31.

We also had three high school finishers: Jassiel Velo, 58:08. Jeffery Lazo, 1:00:32 and Daniel Barron 1:06:10. Once again we were in awe of the Szuch kids. Both Colin, 1:07:14 and Alyna, 1:17:17 ran outstanding times, they are ten and eight years old!!!

Overall, a great run was had by all with only one mishap, unfortunately the fall was on a cactus.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors. Water table and course marshals included Hank Burkman, Dorothy Bensusan and Joe Black at the water station by the golf course, ( I hear there were cow bells and pom poms to keep the runners going), Jim Clarke and Mike Burzynski at the top of the dam, and Ian Talbot and his fiance Alyse to keep runners and bikers from colliding under the bridge at Kipling. Registration and finish line volunteers included Connie Ahrnsbrak, Rosalia Dexter, Mike Vanoni, Joe Baird, and Rob Fisher. A huge thanks to Scott McFarlane who painstakingly charts, marks and clears the course each year. Sponsors included Great Harvest Bread, Boulder Running Company, Runners Roost and Brooks.
