This year's race will return to the 2009 venue at the Shops at Walnut
Creek. Roadrunner Sports of Westminster will be our host again.
This is a very flat out-and-back 5 mile course on Westminster's trail system (nearly all concrete path). Start and finish will be by the fountain at the main entrance to the Walnut Creek shops from Church Ranch Blvd (W 105th Ave and Reed St, next to Target). The route starts with a short run SW on the sidewalk to Sensory Park, then left onto Walnut Creek Trail heading East. Shortly before mile 1 the course makes another left onto Big Dry Creek Trail. Big Dry Creek trail travels under HWY 36 and 104th Ave, through City Park, and continue following the creek NE until the turn-around just beyond the Sheridan Ave underpass. The 2.5 mile return will retrace the same route. Directions: To reach the start, take the Boulder - Denver turnpike (36) toward Broomfield. Take the 104th Ave / Church Ranch Blvd exit and head west on Church Ranch Blvd. Turn right (North) at Town Center Drive. See the Google map for details.
