White Ranch 10K

July 19 dawned clear and warm for the annual White Ranch Trail 10K.

There were 83 finishers in the 10K run, and 3 in the 5K race walk, which was won by Ed Gussie. Laura McCoy won the women's division.

The top 3 finishers this year were all faster than last year's winning time, but still not a threat to the course record. Tobias Albrigtsen led the field with 41:20, with Irene Barrera's 56:42 taking it for the women. Outside the front runners, times were several minutes slower than last year, likely because of the heat. We had a group of 5 ladies from Chicago run with us and thoroughly enjoy the course and views.

Boulder Nordic Sport had a tent and demo shoes set up before, during, and after the race, and also provided substantial raffle prizes.Other prizes were provided by Great Harvest Bread in Arvada and Runners Roost Louisville and Lakewood locations.Thanks are due also to Chris and Susan Stone and family, Connie and crew, Joe and crew, and all the volunteers who make this possible. CMRA is a success because of its members.
