Stone House (2x) TripleCrossMark Hasseman Assistant Race Director October 10, 2020 Race day on October 10 started out cool and cloudy at 7:30 AM with sunshine breaking through around 10 AM and warming up. This was the second CMRA race during State COVID19 restrictions. Runners and walkers pre-registered online before race day in 15 minute increments with a maximum of ten runners per time period. The first group started at 7:30 AM with the last and seventh group starting at 9 AM. Race day was preceded by 9 days of dry and warm weather resulting in dry trails. Forty-eight (48) runners navigated the three creek crossings on the Stone House Trail as they headed west to the dam and into Bear Creek Lake Park. They crossed the dam at the north end, ran along the base of the dam to the south end, climbed Mount Carbon, headed downhill and east back to the Stone House Trail, crossed the creek three more times and headed to the finish line. Eight (8) 5K runners and walkers followed the Stone House Trail to a turnaround point near the east side of the Fox Hollow Golf Course and then back to the finish/start line. Caleb Feuerbacher was the overall Male winner of the 8.4 Mile Race with a time of 56:16 and Barbara Peterson was the overall Female winner with a time of 1:19:41. Congratulations to both of them!!! Michael Blanchard was the overall Male Winner of the 5K Walk course with a time of 36.45 and Lu Shaw was the overall Female winner with a time of 1:01:06. Congratulations!!! The First Place Male 5K Runner was Scott Lutz with a time of 31.18 and the Female 5K Runner was Sue Blazek with a time of 45.09. Congratulations!!! Thanks to the volunteers without whom this race would not have been possible: Melissa Wood, Tim Buntrock, Ed Youngberg, Scott McFarlane, Mark Hasseman, Hank Burkman, Connie Ahrnsbrak, Patricia Jones, Lee Bengston, and Tom Chambers.
