The course will go north from there on the S. Platte trail, across the suspension bridge at the Big Dry Creek Trail, back south on the west side of the river, across the bridge near the Platt River Bar and Grill, south past the finish line, around the Lee Gulch roundabout, and back north to the finish line at the Platte River Bar & Grill.
The race is about 5.2 miles completely on the bike paths along the South Platte River, flat and fast if clear. Since traffic is heavy, the path is typically clear of snow and ice within a couple days of the last snow. Trainers or even flats are fine unless the weather is unkind. |
